Fifteen months ago, we set out to build the networking company for the AI era. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Aria Networks is generally available, and that our Deep Networking platform is live, shipping, and already serving customers. In the press release that we issued this morning, you’ll find all details and background to our GA announcement.

In just over a year, we have gone from founding to funding to fielding customers in production — with a platform that is fundamentally different from anything the networking industry has seen.

One reason we’ve been able to move at this pace is that we’ve been AI-forward from day one — not just in our product, but in how we build the company itself. Our development workflows, our company processes, our team structure — all of it has been designed from the ground up for the AI era. That philosophy has been a genuine multiplier, and it’s a core part of who we are.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without an extraordinary team and a set of early customers, partners, and investors who believed in the vision from the start.

Alongside today’s launch, I’m pleased to share that Aria Networks has raised $125 million — backed by Sutter Hill Ventures, Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and Eclipse Ventures. Gavin Baker of Atreides Management has joined our board alongside Stefan Dyckerhoff and the founding team. Gavin’s conviction in what we’re building, and the caliber of our investor group, speaks to the scale of the opportunity and the strength of what this team has delivered.


Why We Built Aria

The networking industry was built for a different era. For a decade, cloud networking was about cost optimization — if a network element failed, software layers simply worked around it. AI changes that equation entirely. While networking represents just 10–15% of an AI cluster’s total cost, any inefficiency in the network has an outsized impact on accelerator utilization, training time, and ultimately, revenue.

At the center of this shift is Model Flop Utilization (MFU) — the single best proxy for whether an AI cluster is delivering on its investment. MFU directly determines token efficiency and cost per token. Improvements in MFU translate directly into improvements in revenue. The network is the highest-leverage component in that equation: when it underperforms, it drags down everything else; when it’s optimized, it lifts the entire stack.

This is the problem we set out to solve. Deep Networking is our answer.


What Deep Networking Delivers

Deep Networking is not a feature bolted onto an existing stack. It starts with AI-optimized hardware — leading 800GbE and 1.6Tbps switches purpose-built for the demands of AI clusters — paired with a ground-up, fully featured implementation of hardened SONiC.

On top of that foundation, we deliver fine-grained end-to-end telemetry at 100–10,000x the resolution of traditional tools. We deliver intelligent agents at every layer of the stack, deep networking domain knowledge embedded in every decision, and continuous updates.

The result is a set of outcomes that operators experience from day one: intent-based configuration, seamless real-time performance optimization, and an agentic partnership where operators have fine-grained telemetry at their fingertips and can collaborate with Aria’s agents in natural language to resolve issues and optimize performance. This is a fundamentally different way to operate networks. It transforms your network from a limiter into a multiplier — helping you maximize the utilization of your AI cluster across training, inference, and any accelerator architecture: GPUs, TPUs, or custom silicon.

I couldn’t be more proud to be on this journey with you.
